Based on the legendary, award-winning first generation design, the improved X1D II 50C is a compact, high-performance medium format mirrorless camera with an excellent 50 megapixel CMOS sensor in a lightweight, portable body.

The X1D II 50C offers excellent color definition, 14 stops of dynamic range and Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS) technology integrated into the camera system. It delivers excellent, true-to-life colors that match exactly what the human eye sees. The upgraded electronic platform of the , both with a higher resolution and a faster live view refresh rate and even faster and more intuitive user interface controls. Shutter lag and blackout time between frames have been reduced, and startup time has almost halved compared to the first generation.

Built-in Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity enables a portable medium format workflow with Phocus Mobile 2, allowing photographers to transfer and edit full-quality drawing and JPEG files directly from the X1D II 50C to their iPadPro. Two SD card slots, now supporting the faster UHS-II standard, provide optimal storage space or the option to save images to a second card when shooting. The X1D II 50C offers access to all XCD lenses in addition to the HC / HCD lenses, V-system lenses and XPan lenses via the XH adapter, XV adapter and XPan adapter. Great medium format optics for endless creative possibilities.

Lightweight and portable, the X1D II 50C lets you harness the power of medium format in a compactness smaller than most full-frame 35mm cameras.

The X1D II 50C combines form and function in its ergonomic design, inherited from the award-winning first generation. It continues to offer creators incredible Hasselblad image quality with 16-bit RAW images and now full resolution JPEGs in a compact, lightweight design.

INTUITIVE USER EXPERIENCE

The X1D II 50C’s brilliant 3.6-inch 2.36 million-dot touch display and improved 3.69 million-dot OLED EVF have been updated with higher resolution for more accurate evaluation of images after capture to enable. With an improved magnification of 0.87x, the X1D II 50C’s EVF is now larger so you can easily see the bigger picture. Additionally, the menu system is very accessible when looking into the EVF and offers better usability in sunny conditions.

Building on the previous generation’s intuitive interface with zoom and swipe image search, the X1D II 50C is refined with a faster overall response when navigating the menu system. Other additions to the rear display include dragging and dropping of autofocus points, as well as autofocus point size changes with the movement of the finger by pressing/spreading. With a faster startup time, Live View with a faster refresh rate of 60 fps, and a shorter shutter and blackout time between frames, the X1D II 50C ensures an even smoother user experience.

UPDATED ELECTRONICS

The X1D II 50C’s updated electronic platform enables a more responsive camera feel, including faster image preview, and faster post-capture evaluation. Additionally, a higher frame rate of 60 fps ensures a smoother live view in both the EVF and the rear display. The much higher resolution of the rear screen (1024 x 768) provides a more vivid and lifelike image viewing experience.

COMPLETE LIABILITY

Built-in Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity enables a portable photo workflow with wireless or wired image export and wired shooting with Phocus Mobile 2. Wired recording is also possible with the desktop version of Phocus, which is available for Mac and PC.

An internal GPS module optionally enables automatic geotagging of images. The X1D II 50C allows you to charge the battery in the camera via USB, a computer, a charger or a power bank.

PORTABLE WORKFLOW WITH PHOCUS MOBILE 2

Phocus Mobile 2 expands the capabilities of the Hasselblad workflow and takes the image editing process to a new, portable level. Phocus Mobile 2 is compatible with the X1D II 50C via USB-C or WiFi and is supported on your iPad Pro and 2019 iPad Air models. This allows the traveling photographer to work faster and more seamlessly.

With Phocus Mobile 2 you can import, edit and rate RAW images as well as import and rate full quality JPEG images directly on your device. Additionally, Phocus Mobile 2 supports full quality image export, tethered shooting and direct camera control.

DESIGNED WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHER IN MIND

The X1D II 50C inherits the award-winning design of the first generation and seamlessly continues Hasselblad’s tradition of merging form and function to ensure smooth handling. Milled from high-quality, solid aluminum and with a clean surface and only the most important buttons, all other commands can be easily displayed on the rear touch display. With the shutter built into the Hasselblad lenses instead of the camera body, the weight and size of the X1D II 50C are minimized, allowing for a very compact form factor.
