Advanced image stabilization

The in-camera five-axis image stabilization (IBIS) is approximately 30 percent more compact and lighter compared to previous models. ^*1  Overall, the X-S10 weighs just 465 grams and enables up to six EV levels ^*2  longer exposure times. It is the first mid-range model to be equipped with mechanical shock absorbers on the shutter. These protect the sensor from vibrations caused by the locking mechanism. This means that images of high brilliance and sharpness can be achieved in every shooting situation.

The large, ergonomic handle of the X-S10 also contributes to a steady camera position. It is made of a robust magnesium alloy and guarantees a secure hold even when using larger lenses. For added stability and robustness, the top and front housing plates are also made of magnesium alloy.

High image quality and legendary FUJIFILM colors

With the digital film simulations, which are based on the look of legendary analogue films, FUJIFILM builds on its legacy from analogue photography. The X-S10 features 18 of these picture styles, including ETERNA Bleach Bypass for a high-contrast look with desaturated colors.

The advanced automatic mode of the X-S10 optimizes the camera settings completely independently according to the types of motifs recognized. This means you can easily create impressive landscape images with brilliant and vibrant colors as well as attractive portraits with natural skin tones. Even in backlit situations, well-balanced image results can be achieved without advanced knowledge.

Burst mode for fast autofocus and image series

The autofocus of the X-S10 focuses on the subject at lightning speed and tracks even dynamic subjects with high precision thanks to face and eye detection. Focusing takes up to 0.02 seconds and works in the dark up to a light value of -7 EV. ^*3  This performance is made possible by the X Trans CMOS 4 sensor with 2.16 million phase AF pixels, which harmonizes perfectly with the fast-clocked X Processor 4.

Not only is the autofocus of the new camera extremely fast, but also the continuous shooting: With a mechanical shutter, up to 8 frames per second are possible, with an electronic shutter even up to 30 frames per second (with a crop factor of 1.25). When using the electronic viewfinder, the viewfinder image does not black out between two exposures; The view of the subject is not impaired during continuous shooting.

4K video recording and 10x slow motion
