Large FourThirds sensor
The LUMIX LX100 II has a 21.77 megapixel sensor without a low-pass filter from the latest LUMIX G interchangeable lens cameras with an effective resolution of 17 megapixels in 4:3 format. The 1.6 times larger sensor area and the increase in resolution together with the latest generation of processors ensure outstanding image quality and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. Through clever use of the oversized sensor, the LX100 II is one of the few cameras on the market that can maintain the wide angle of 24mm (KB) in 3:2, 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX lens 1.7-2.8/ 24-75mm
The name “Leica” stands for the high quality and resolution of the remarkable lens. With a light intensity of 1.7-2.8, it ensures high exposure potential and more reserves in poor lighting conditions. The 24-75mm focal length allows the lens to be used flexibly, from landscape photos to portraits. The new LUMIX LX100 II is also equipped with the Power OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) and includes 11 elements in 8 groups, including 2 ED lenses and 5 aspherical lenses with 8 aspherical surfaces. This means that image errors such as distortion or chromatic aberration are avoided as much as possible. In addition, macro shots can be captured in impressive quality thanks to the minimum focus limit of 3cm in the wide-angle lens and 30cm in the telephoto lens.
Intuitive operation and fast focusing
While the proven viewfinder with a resolution of 2.8 megapixels and a magnification of 0.7x has been retained, the rear monitor has been further developed and improved. For example, the resolution of the monitor could be increased to 1.2 megapixels and a touch-sensitive screen could be integrated at the same time, making the application much more user-friendly. The integrated control rings and switches, including aperture and focus rings as well as shutter speed or exposure compensation wheels, are particularly advantageous for direct and intuitive operation. The LUMIX LX100 II also features fast DFD AutoFocus with a shutter speed of just 0.10s and fast continuous shooting of 11 fps (AFS) / 5.5 fps (AFC) to capture the right moment. Additional feature: The Starlight AF. By accurately calculating the contrast value of a smaller AF area, photographers can even focus and photograph a single star in the night sky
High-resolution 4K video and 4K photo for the magical moment
The advanced 4K photo technology benefits significantly from the 4K video function: fleeting moments and fast-moving objects are captured with an incredible 30 images per second. The photo with the best timing can then be extracted from the resulting 4K image series and saved as an 8 megapixel photo. Newly added: the auto-marking function, which allows you to jump to the appropriate image more quickly, and the sequence shot, which can be used to combine different images to create a special strobe effect. Post Focus and Focus Stacking are now also part of the LX100 II’s range of functions.
Additional features
• Extended creative options: L. Monochrome D. mode and film grain effect. With the help of the newly added L. Monochrome D mode, dark shadows are displayed with even greater contrast and differentiation and can be artistically highlighted with the film grain effect. This intentionally usable film grain is available in different intensities for all monochrome settings to give monochrome images a special look.
• Bluetooth 4.2*4 and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz (IEEE802.11b/g/n): The LUMIX LX100 II is equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi® to provide more flexibility when taking photos and enable easy, instant image sharing. Once the camera is connected to a smartphone or tablet with the Panasonic Image app for iOS/Android installed, users can capture, browse and share images remotely. Bluetooth 4.2 (BLE/Bluetooth Low Energy) compatibility allows for constant connection to a smartphone/tablet with minimal power consumption. The camera can be activated via a smartphone/tablet or the photos can be automatically provided with a GPS geotag.
• Charging via AC adapter or USB The camera battery can be charged either via AC adapter or USB port in the camera.
