The LUMIX TZ101 has a 1-inch, highly sensitive MOS sensor that can be used to capture 20.1 megapixel images of unprecedented image quality. The introduction of the 1-inch sensor results in high-quality image capture with stunning details. A new Venus Engine image processor enables high-speed signal processing required for 4K video recording. The combination of a highly sensitive MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor enables shooting at high sensitivity of max. ISO12600 with breathtaking image quality that goes beyond the limits of a normal compact camera.
The LUMIX TZ101 equips a powerful 10x optical zoom (25-250mm: 35mm camera equivalent) Leica DC Vario – ELMARIT zoom lens, which is available in a slim, small body profile. 5 aspherical lenses are used on the LUMIX TZ101 to ensure the reduction of the high zoom lens. It is difficult to accurately align aspherical lenses due to their optical properties, but due to Panasonic’s black box technologies in optics and mechanical design, it is possible to adopt generous aspherical lenses while ensuring high optical performance.
With the introduction of the LUMIX TZ101, you are now able to record videos in 4K format (up to QFHD: 3840×2160 pixels, 25 frames/sec.). And three 4K photo functions are also integrated to capture fleeting photo motifs; 4K Burst, 4K Burst S/S (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-Burst. All of these features allow you to capture the perfect moment with a high 4K continuous shooting rate of 30 frames per second, so you can then choose the best shot after shooting.
